piano review
I attended the vocal convocation where 6 GMU students sang pieces with piano accompaniment for a guest teacher. The pianists were Dr. Patricia Parker and Professor Michael Crabill. They displayed their skills in accompaniment method for the singers. They supported the singers through dynamics and following. They even assisted the students when the guest teacher stopped and had the student restart in a different place in the song. The pianist and soloist are a team that works together to create a magical musical moment.
